“Change” it’s just life.

Something is very apparent in my life right now. It is a constant, unwavering force of reality that cannot be escaped. I spent the better part of the last decade in the Military. I remember the moment shortly after returning home from a tour overseas when my wife looked me in the eyes and said “Baby you’ve changed, its okay, I still love you.” In that moment I was faced with a truth I was not ready to accept. You would think that I guy who spent 8 years in the military would be okay with change. We are taught to adapt and overcome in every situation. Except, when we return to civilian life. Like it or not it’s the reality we must face. Change is as sure as the sunrise and sunset. Whether its internal or external we are left to navigate its endless course. When I began to understand that I had changed and accepted the change as good, I began to succeed. This is no different than what happens in the field. The slightest change in wind direction or weather pattern in the climax on a pursuit of a monster muley, could leave you empty handed. However, the understanding of the situation and the ability to overcome seemingly overwhelming odds could be the difference between failure or success. So whether in the field or in life, Learning to accept change, adapting to the environment and grinding through overwhelming odds will bring not only success but meaning, because in the end, Change, it’s just life.

My Bio

Hunting is not just a passion for me its a legacy that has been carefully guarded, preserved and past on to me by my family so I may do the same. It is my heritage and it is my families legacy. I can't remember a time in my life when hunting and fishing was not in it. I served in the military for 8 years. That time and experience gave way to my relentless pursuit of combining my passion with helping my fellow Veterans in there journey to overcome great adversity through the experiences the outdoors has to offer. I am the Co-founder and President of the non profit company Blood On Ground Outdoors Inc. My greatest passion is Archery hunting. My hope is to pass on our precious heritage my children and help others find their passion in the wild outdoors. I am a proud member of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, the Mule Deer Foundation, Ducks Unlimited, The NRA and The National Field Archery Association. God, Family, Country, Outdoors Forever!
